Half        = 200 lbs
Quarter = 100 lbs

How much freezer space do I need?
Whole    = 16 CU FT
Half        = 8 CU FT
Quarter = 4 CU FT
A quarter would fit in the freezer compartment of the average size refrigerator.

What will the hanging weight be?

Half.       = 300 lbs hanging weight
Quarter = 150 lbs hanging weight

What’s the difference between the hanging weight and the weight of the beef I take home?
There is a loss of moisture when the beef is dry aged. There is also a loss of weight from removing fat and bones from the beef.
